So you bought a shiny new camera… Naturally your eager to get out and use it but you want to take care of it to. One thing you should consider to protect your lens is a UV filter. If you see threads on the front of your lens (not the fabric kind.. the screw something on kind) your in luck. typically you’ll find the size of filters your lens will accept written on it somewhere. It be a number with a little circle and a slash Thu it in front of it and is followed by MM (millimeter). Keep in mind you get what you pay for cheap glass can hinder picture quality, but a decent filter is a lot cheaper than a scratch on a new lens…
